Led by PM&R faculty, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital is a leading center for groundbreaking research contributing to advancements in rehabilitation science.

Spaulding research includes clinical studies, the evaluation of new rehabilitation medications, development of diagnostic tools, design and testing of assistive devices and robotics, as well as basic research into the nature of disease and disability. These endeavors enhance Spaulding's treatment programs, with the results of this research often quickly finding its way to the bedside. Increasingly, as we expand our current research environment and add new initiatives, important and substantive opportunities are afforded our research fellows. Research also plays an important role with our resident physicians, each having research elective rotations in the latter half of their residency training.
